The song gives a nostalgic summer feeling with a low-key synth tune that throws it back to peaceful days. Ironically, “Toluca Lake” is itself a small town in California. Many famous people reside there because of its serene, private, and exclusive environment. Walking through the luxury neighborhoods to get to the metro, L2B felt the chaos melt into the peaceful sidewalks. This new song showcases the contrast of people who have attained their dream versus those who are still trying, still struggling, even when it is right in front of them. He also engineers and mixes all of his own music. It’s a process that allows L2B to express himself fully and display his emotions with transparency. “There’s always something next for me.
