Neko Reid a.k.a Nëk’s story of being an LLC owner to the musical artist. There were challenges in his way, but he conquered them all and paved the way to success. Nëk is a versatile musical artist from the DMV area Suitland, Maryland. He loves to create eccentric music with a touch of authenticity. He started his musical journey in the late 2000s and has been cultivating his music for 11.5 years now. His life hasn’t been the easiest, plagued with challenges like homelessness, illiteracy, drug addiction, and a lot more. Life is difficult to navigate and not everyone can escape from the dark and unpleasant parts of it. However, with the right company, guidance, and resources, people jump back into the chippier phase of life in a jiff. All the challenges in his life made him stronger, wiser and more resilient toward the musical goals of life. Once he started to bring his life in order and work towards a better future of his life, Nëk racked up many features in prestigious magazines and also owned many start-up magazines. He also has one feature in the renowned Hype Magazine. Musical Endeavors Before he got his big musical break, Nëk started attracting audiences to his music for his unique ways and eccentric style of writing lyrics that help listeners resonate with each word. While developing his own sound, he made sure to keep up with the trends and make his style dynamic. He was born into a musically inclined family where he learned that competition will always be there, you have to surpass all the levels to reach the final destination. The key to achieving this—hard work, diligence, and determination. He started off as an instrumentalist and started rapping gradually. His close friend passed away, and that’s when he started taking rap more seriously. He loves the creative process that goes behind the creation of raps and how you get to rhyme different words. This helps people to perceive different situations and resonate with Nëk. He’s done some significant collaborations with prestigious producers including The Docent, Sovren, and Wonderlust Beats. Nëk also released his new song “Spirit Flow Reloaded” which is a blend of hip hop with traces of jazz, packed with laid-back beats and a lo-fi aesthetic. His sound is inspired by a range of artists like Juice Wrld, Nipsey Hussle, XXX Tentacion, Capital Steez, and Isaiah Rashad. He also released “Spirit Flow Reloaded” (Dark Mode), which is the true definition of Nek’s lyrical prowess. In the future, he plans to release many more records! To listen to his songs, visit here.
