Charise Sowells is a Minnesota based scriptwriter and songwriter who just released her new album “Obsolescent Adolescence”. Music is an art. She also writes, directs, and produces scripts for TV, theater, immersive experiences, and film via her company, Unabashed Productions. Songs to Die for Charise’s new album consists of songs that are bold, and unique, and relay important messages to the listeners. One of the songs, “Morning Breath” showcases the ultimate songwriting tendencies of Charise and her voice is as melodic as it takes to soothe a grieving soul. Every word in her song carries emotional weight and can make people feel the intense thoughts behind the song. The unique trait about her songs is how she nails the right emotion and hits every note as a pro. Another single that people love from her new album is “Heartbreak Town”. This song washes away all blues with its cinematic, R&B vibes. You’ll be surprised because it’s a song that brings blues nostalgia but also brings a serene vibe that calms the chaos of the soul. The story of a young and emerging artist, Mattie Rose brings hardcore relatedness to her country album “Whiskey Me Away”. Like a melodic memoir, country music captures the raw essence of life's triumphs, heartaches, and journeys. What sets country music apart is its remarkable ability to paint vivid portraits of everyday tales, transforming the mundane into the extraordinary with heartfelt lyrics and soul-stirring melodies. It is the epitome of storytelling, bridging the gap between generations, and resonating with a timeless authenticity that transcends borders. One artist that’s taking this genre to new heights is Mattie Rose. Her new debut EP “Whiskey Me Away” was released on 30th January 2023 and is one you’ll relish! She’s a hard-working and determined student who’s following her musical passion while also pursuing a full-time degree in Music business BBA from Belmont University. She was also awarded the Brad Paisley Endowed Scholarship this year for her work at Belmont and in the music industry. Features and New Music After her debut EP, Mattie was featured by Lucky Money and Blackbird Media on the famous Nashville Sign billboard off of West End and Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. So far, she has released two singles and one EP. Her first single "Square One" was released in December 2021, and her second single "Leavin' Tennessee" was released in May 2022. Her debut EP was then released on January 30th, 2023. She works day in and out to enhance her knowledge and write music nonstop. She plans to embark on her musical journey full-time post-graduation and bring the wonders of country music to the world. She comments, “Before really digging into the country music industry, I was a lover of anything musical including actual musicals. I am a classically trained vocalist and first started off doing musical theater, choir, acapella groups, worship teams, and anything else even remotely relating to music. What inspires me the most is the feeling I get when I meet a fellow musician that empathizes with the struggle of being an independent artist.” - Mattie Rose Country music is something that makes Mattie feel at home and connected to her roots. She loves to write with people and to see others come together as one to create magic in the form of melodies. Hearing others' passions and listening to friends and colleagues shred on the guitar, piano, fiddle, or anything else always makes her feel ecstatic and beyond grateful for this exposure to music. In a perfect world, she would like to be signed as an artist with a label out of Texas or Tennessee within the next year.
