According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is currently in the early stages of development at Lionsgate Television, with few details confirmed so far. So far, we have no information about who will pen down the script and which platform or television network will have the rights to broadcast it. However, the sources claim that Meyer would possibly be involved in the process. Furthermore, the reports suggest that Erik Feig, a former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-President, and Wyck Godfrey will both serve as executive producers on the upcoming television adaptation of the book series. The Twilight series rose to popularity in the middle of the 2000s, and its five hugely successful film adaptations have made a collection of more than $3.4 billion worldwide. Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart all gained stardom, and an enormous fan following, and still have their notability linked to the movie franchise. The author also hinted at future intentions for the epic, saying she had already written the plot for two more novels. However, she has also expressed her willingness to work on new projects. The adaption of book series into television series indicates there has been an exponential trend in the adaption of fantasy books to tv series. Also, Max recently announced a Harry Potter TV series called "faithful adaptation," which is the adaption of J.K. Rowling's popular book series.
