Walgreens Boots Alliance and VillageMD are increasing their co-located main care clinics into Colorado. 

The Village Scientific clinics are connected to Walgreens pharmacies — two in Fortress Collins and one in Longmont. Walgreens said the clinics will catch 70 fat-time jobs. It marks the 11th deliver where the co-located clinics operate.

In 2021, Walgreens invested $5.2 billion to blueprint shut a majority stake in VillageMD, which has more than 20,000 staff in some unspecified time in the future of 680 practices in 26 markets. The two outlined plans to initiate 1,000 Village Scientific at Walgreens locations by 2027. There are now more than 200 co-located clinics. About half of of the sufferers at those clinics have their prescriptions through Walgreens, Chief Monetary Officer James Kehoe said on a March earnings call.

VillageMD introduced in more than $1.1 billion in sales for Walgreens within the corporate’s fiscal 2nd quarter.

Dr. Clive Fields, chief medical officer at VillageMD, said the provider seeks to address chronic disease in underserved areas by increasing more catch entry to to build-basically basically based care. In January, VillageMD closed an $8.9 billion deal to purchase Summit Health-CityMD, extending its footprint into multispecialty care.
