A product of the lockdown, the 1970s is full of wit and fun as an album of sophisticated white soul-pop-rock. Sprinkled with delectable brass and strings, it features a band – top session players among them – that can boogie, and excellent vocals and harmonies, all brought together under the watchful ears of the accomplished Billy Farrell, at the production desk.
John’s first single “Positive Attitude” got the no.1 spot on Apple and his debut album went No.1 Independent and No.5 Official in Ireland in 2022. Hot Press Magazine rated John’s debut album 9/10 and he has reached around the world, and is moving at pace over the past six months. His top ten listening audience is now: the USA, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Canada, and Switzerland.
Enigmatic Musician With Hunger For Creativity
The charismatic man refutes that music needs to follow a certain norm. Instead, his work digs deep into the crevices of the mind and finds the most eccentric topics to write about. Aside from being a talented artist, he’s also a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, composer, and lyricist, he is also internationally recognized as a leading lawyer.
At the age of 15, he started making music in the studio and testing his creative abilities. But, life is unpredictable and his career changed gears when he was 17. After a long hiatus, he reverted back to his profound love for—music.
John derives inspiration from the most thrilling encounters of his life as a lawyer. One of his songs, “Enemy” recollects his meeting with a Libyan warlord in his capacity as adviser to the warring governments of Libya before the UN.
His lyrics are an expedition to enlightenment that combine observational melody with real stories.
