Success happens if the efforts are consistent. It can be rightly said that “Consistency is the first step towards success”. If you want your business to fly high, if you want your painting to catch more eyeballs towards it, if you think you should stand out from the crowd – consistency is what you should first learn. No one is born a superstar. People work hard, practice the same skill every day with utmost consistency and then slowly gain mastery over it. Then they are ready to stand out from the crowd. Tyjay holds this fact close to his heart.
Tyree Jackson – aka Tyjay, is a rising star in the music industry. With his consistent efforts, he intends to master the art and position himself as an inspiring musician. He inspires to touch the lives of people through his music that can elevate them from their miseries.
In 2019 and 2020, he was inducted into TrendCityRadio Station’s International Hall of Fame for two of his singles “Excuses” and “Disco”, earning the first position respectively on their top 40 all-star music countdown.
Tyjay’s Musical Journey
Tyree was born and brought up in the Bronx, New York. His musical journey began in 2016 in the most true sense. He started his career by writing music and recording demo EPs in 2016. He didn’t officially begin studio recording until 2018. It was then, he got a chance to record at Jahmane Bright aka, BrightBoyYorkie of Triangle Recording Studio of Bronx, NY. The first recording of his single ‘Body 2 Body’ enchanted him so much that he knew he wanted to continue recording and writing. He fell in love with the process of ideating a song, actually putting it down to paper, and breathing life in it by composing sweet melodies for the words that had flown through his pen. Since then, he has continued to record music.
Being an independent songwriter, he recalls “networking” as one of the most favorite parts of his profession. He says making music also gives him a chance to meet different people from different walks of life. He loves meeting artists and cherishes every moment he has spent in gaining the priceless experience. As a musician, he inspires artists to embrace their identity and love themselves always. This also helps them be the best version of themselves when writing, and to always follow their dreams always.
Tyree Jackson’s Aspirations
The pandemic has hit every profession and business, and the same happened to Tyjay. The last single he released before FREAK dropped was Disco back in June 2020. Due to the pandemic, he had to take a break from his recording sessions at the studio. Instead of letting the situation get on his nerves, he invested his energy and time writing music. During that phase, he had an opportunity to co-write a track for Kenny Supreme, a pop artist who was releasing his debut EP in May 2021.
Philosophy He Believes In
Tyjay believes, “When it comes to music, consistency is always key to artistry success. While some artists live and breathe music, I only dedicate my life to music part-time. Staying consistent with your music will only allow for continued growth. Even though I am a part-time artist, I have always managed to continue working on my vocals and songwriting skills. Lastly, when recording your music, always utilize your time wisely. It isn’t a race, and ensure the quality is good and you are having FUN!”
