Luane is a Female DJ making her mark in the male-dominated industry. She was ranked 44 in the top female DJ list in DJane Mag Brasil, a magazine dedicated to female DJs. She is highly admired and respected in her industry.
A whopping hundred and thousand people have heard her songs on Spotify. In 2019, she ranked 18 in DjaneTop, a website that ranks female DJs across the world. She is bringing her charm to the DJ industry and making her voice heard.
Early life and career
Luane was born in Brazil. She started her career with modeling and has traveled across the world for runway events. However, she did not find modeling satisfying and was on the lookout to find something fulfilling. She tried her hands on a business and even ventured into acting. She kept trying new things and eventually found DJing in 2014 and has never looked back.
Venturing into the DJ world
DJing turned out to be her passion. Luane has been active in the scene ever since. With her peppy beats, she has become well known in her space. She has performed for brands like Levis, Joe Fresh, H&M, NBA, Mercedes Benz , Ferrari, Vondouch, to name a few. She has performed in some of the biggest festivals in the world, in cities like Las Vegas, New York, Germany, Spain, and multiple philippine countries.
Luane released her first original track in 2017. It was titled “Hear me” and was released on Spotify, as well as iTunes. “Hear me” went on to become the top 10 tracks in the Philippines.
Luane’s Journey
Today female DJs are getting recognition too. But it was not the case when she started. DJing has always been a male-centric industry, so creating her mark as a female DJ was not an easy ride. Nevertheless, she persisted, and with time people warmed to her. Reflecting on her journey, she advises people to be hopeful. She goes on to say that,’ Success can be found even in unconventional careers. With hard work and passion, everything is achievable. Just do not let fear stop you from your dream.’
DJing has been a fulfilling career for her as she enjoys meeting new people and traveling across the world. She believes meeting new people and experiencing different cultures educates humans in the truest sense. Her most favorite thing about DJing is bringing joy to people, even for a brief time.
Pandemic and life after
The pandemic affected her business as DJing is a physical event and more of an immersive experience. However, she is hopeful that things will start looking up as the vaccination drive has commenced. In due course, she intends to start a business of her own and restart booking shows for DJing.
