The renowned American model and actress Maya Hawke makes a style statement on February 23rd during Milan Fashion Week. She appeared in Prada’s fall/winter 2023 womenswear show, grabbing attention with her own interpretation of the “no-pants” trend. She chose to wear translucent black tights and block heels with feminine ankle straps in place of slacks.
Hawke wore a black bodysuit under a collared shirt from the Prada menswear line to round off her chic look. The collar and chest of the shirt were embellished with wavy white grosgrain and a window-pane checkered design in baby blue and white. She cleverly converted the button-up into a minidress by wearing the shirt with the top and bottom buttons half undone.

Her stylist, Harry Lambert, added a black Prada purse and a black leather jacket that hung just below the hem of her top to complete the ensemble. Hawke completed the ensemble with a simple gold necklace with the designer’s emblem and a plain gold ring.

Her hair stylist John Nollet and makeup artist Emma Day gave her hair shaggy waves, added spidery mascara, and ended the look with a black manicure to give it an edgy appearance. The ultimate effect emphasised Hawke’s inherent beauty and sense of style while making a strong and fearless fashion statement.
The no-pants style has been adopted by performers like Lizzo for years, but Hawke is a part of the latest generation of stars, including Kylie Jenner, who have helped to make it more mainstream recently. At Milan Fashion Week, Hawke’s own interpretation of the trend demonstrated her status as a fashion star and trailblazer in her own way. She has demonstrated that following trends blindly is not the only way to be fashionable; you can also put your own twist on them to produce something genuinely distinctive and unforgettable.
