Music comes from within, it shines through emotion, creativity and a dash of passion, and people who add meaning to songs are the ones who always stand out. When we talk about eccentricity and uniqueness, the name Sarah Harralson pops into our minds. She is an artist with a drive to create new things, and never stops in the face of difficulties. She recently released a new single “Purple Potion” which will remind you of Halloween every time.

Set up in a dark set, the song video is vintage, and the vibe matches the song and its lyrics. Sarah has worked tirelessly on this single and she’s currently working on her new album, to keep her loyal fans entertained! Her album, “Whiskey History” is up for consideration for Grammy Nomination in the category, “Best Country Music Album”. She has been featured on Buzzfeed, Tennessean, and has been praised for her noble contribution as a volunteer to a program for hospitals. She played songs and kept the patients serenaded through Zoom calls. Music is not just her passion, but a medium to do good for society.

Early Music Career

Songwriting and creativity came to Sarah at a young age. She began writing songs at the age of 10. The biggest inspiration behind her music career is her grandpa who played bluegrass music around her, and her mother who encouraged her and put her in piano lessons. She has seen many challenges in the journey and has always risen above them with passion and valor.

“I’m originally from Knoxville, TN, and moved to Nashville after graduating high school to go to Belmont and study Music Business. In 2015, I signed a 3 song publishing deal with Scotty Schultz of Raindrop Music. In early 2020, I signed a publishing and artist development deal with Johnny Garcia of Busy at Play Publishing.”

Her musical journey has been very interesting. Singing and songwriting are creative outlets for her, and she expresses herself through them. Her mission behind creating music is to help people connect, and invoke emotions that make them feel heard. In her words, she wants people to “Get what they need” from Sarah’s music.

During the pandemic, many of her shows were cancelled but she didn’t lose hope, instead, she did some brainstorming and found solace in music production. So, as one door closed, Sarah explored other avenues to sustain her love for music. She decided that shows can be canceled, but music production and technology are two things that always evolve and never stop. She was able to record vocals for people virtually, create demos, and do more studio work.

Her hard work added the title of music producer and demo vocalist besides being a fantastic singer. Sarah thinks that creativity cannot be caged, you’ll always find one way or another to practice it.
