But for creative people, the pandemic has turned out to be a life-changer. It gave a lot of time to the artist like James Roan to get to their studio and work on their music. Even though James lost his recording studio last year and re-recorded a few tracks, he didn’t lose hope. Instead, he overcame those defeats and bounced back even stronger.
James Roan is a hip-hop music artist from Miami. He tells stories through his music and visuals, and his motto in life is simple – ‘Hard work is easy work’. As an artist, James understands that the goal is to make what you make but standing out from other competitors is also much needed. Everything today sounds like hip-hop, consequently, the real meaning of hip-hop has been lost somewhere. When he started, he knew he would take his love for music to a professional level. He demonstrated both quantity and quality in his craft. He took time to master his craft and then took it to a professional level. He rebranded himself 8 months ago and started from zero again. But in such a short time, he has released 11 music videos and two albums that are ready to be released before this year ends.
The charismatic artist started making music at the age of 15, and was known by the name of ‘Democracy’ back then. Growing up, he heard a lot of classic music played by his mom, grandmother and uncles. He considers the music of that time as legendary in comparison to the music today. This inspired him to revive the music of that era and produce the real hip-hop sounds that are lost somewhere today. His idea is to bring back the lost meaning of hip-hop music and educate his audience for the same.
This soul inspires others by being 100% authentic to his music. He speaks from his heart no matter what the subject and makes sure that people understand his point of view, even if they disagree. He wants to be as positive as possible to leave a long-lasting impression on others. He wants to make music for all moods and make people feel good. He uses his voice as an instrument and his words as a guide so that people can become the best version of themselves. He wants to create a piece of fun-worthy music for everyone. His audience have enjoyed his music so far and he plans on creating such music in the coming future as well.
James wants to grow and push his brand & music to new great heights. He is looking forward to his second solo album titled ‘Power Forward’ through which he wants to show that quality music still exists. He has curated several playlists on his youtube channel that could be enjoyed till his second album releases.
