Crew Soars at Box Office with ₹9.25 Crore on Day 1; Chennai Leads with 58.25% Occupancy

Day 1 Box Office Collection: On March 29, the Bollywood film “Crew,” starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, debuted in theaters. The movie took in ₹9.25 crore on its first day of sales. According to the study, on Friday, Crew observed an occupancy of 26.34 percent. Chennai had the greatest occupancy rate, at 58.25 percent, followed by Bengaluru (46%), Hyderabad (32%), and Mumbai (31.5%).

Regarding its global receipts, producer Ekta Kapoor announced on Instagram that the film had brought in ₹20 crore. She wrote: “I am grateful to India. Our director and my ladies demonstrated to the world how it’s done! Global enlightenment!.” 

The “highest-ever opening for a three-female lead film worldwide” has been achieved, according to the film’s makers, setting a record.

The “Crew” tells the tale of three air hostesses whose airline, Kohinoor, is ready to file for bankruptcy. Their future appears bleak until they discover a deceased passenger smuggling gold biscuits. In important roles in the heist comedy are Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. The movie was originally scheduled for release on March 22, but the producers postponed it until March 29.

Taran Adarsh, a film trade expert, referred to the movie as “Rocking” and an incredible thrill experience. “Crew is an absolute joyride: Fresh concept, hilarious episodes, witty one-liners, and super soundtrack,” he said on X. In this expertly produced show, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, and Kareena Kapoor Khan are hilarious.”
