Ambarish is an HR business partner turned musician. He has played at the Standard Chartered International Marathon with his former band, ‘Stotra’. He has also been a national winner of “Deloitte Maverick’s War of Bands” with his former band ‘The Richman & Co.’. He has also played at the iconic Whisky @ go go at Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles as ‘The Ambarish Collective’ which included some originals and some covers. He proudly represented India at a fundraiser organized by Long Beach Gives in association with the Long Beach Blues Society, California alongside prominent blues artists from across the world.
From Business Administration To Musician
Ambarish has always been interested in music since his childhood. He started with learning the Indian percussion tabla at the age of six which he continued learning for a couple of years.After that, he shifted to guitar and played on and off at his high school. It was during his time at grad school that he discovered the passion for music and wanted to take it up full time. This led him to form his band “Stotra” and take up gigs.
After completing his Bachelors in Commerce, he went on to do his Masters of Business Administration. That is where he formed ‘The Richman & Co.’. Later, he joined a corporate, and then the realization that music was his life path prompted him to pursue his dream. Then, he quit the corporate job and went to music school. He has been creating music that is winning hearts now, and has played with different bands and artists. However, after playing with a band for a prolonged period, he found his real calling as a solo artist, and that led him to create music independently. He still continues to play as a session guitarist with bands, studios and other artists.
Music That Heals
After starting his vocal journey, Ambarish released his first single ‘Feel Alright’ from Los Angeles, second single ‘City Lights’ from Mumbai, and his first Hindi single ‘Bhor Taaraa’ which loosely translates to ‘Morning Star’.
He uses music as a medium to heal from the traumatic experiences of the past. He wants to encourage people to live a joyous and adventurous life, and heal them from hurtful experiences as well.
