Tyler ‘Tvlormvde’ Tillotson is the alternative rap artist you need to watch out for.
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Tyler would always picture himself rapping & singing, for he grew up listening to the rap genre of music, a cultural staple back at his place, the home of rodeo and classic cars. He came up with the name Tvlormvde in high school, confident in his artistry, and optimistic that someday he would make a successful artist. Today, he is bringing a new sound to Texas music. He has recently released the music video for his new single “Nurse Joy .” He is also working with platinum producers, “Beat Demons” on a new project and has two more albums to be released in 2021. The young artist is determined to get to the point where the entire world listens to his music.
The Road To Success
His entire career stands on the idea of his 14-year-old self and how proud the latter would be of his current achievements and journey. The now 27-year-old artist has carved a place for himself through hard work, perseverance, and continuously mastering his craft. After completing high school, he moved to Austin to study at the art institute, but after the first year he ran off to Lil Mexico for a few months, where he partied way too much. Realizing this, he came back to Austin, finished his schooling meticulously, and began working on building his sound after putting out a few music videos and badly engineered mixtapes on the Internet. “ I grew a small online following, linked up with my boy ‘PurpleKBeats’ and we recorded 4 songs. One of those songs was ‘Blue.’ I released it and my fans loved it. After that I linked up with the ‘Beat Demons’ and we worked on music for pretty much the entire year of 2020.” He is now gearing up to release the music.
His Inspiration
Hearing Biggie Smalls’ rap when he was 9 made Tvlormvde want to rap. He started taking it all seriously when he heard Kid Cudi. “It made me like ok I could do this and just be me with it,” he recalls. He also accredits much of his inspiration to his fans, whom he believes have grown with him throughout his journey. “The fans that were with me through the begging phase, saw me fall flat on my face, and get back up and learn,” he profusely thanks them. He hopes his willingness to never give up inspires someone to be the same towards their goal in life. Or as he affirms, “You can do anything, just go for it!”
Impact Of Covid-19
The Covid-19 pandemic made Tvlormvde sit and rethink his brand for the better. He focused on engaging and expanding his online presence alongside working on a ton of music. This strategic move will not only help him connect with his fans better but also make transitioning to live shows easier once the covid protocols are relaxed.
Tyler has always been passionate about his dream and has impressed the crowds at every stage of his musical journey. He accepts himself for who he is, and is comfortable with it.
