Life is an adventure and it’s never too late to change the track of life and follow what your heart yearns for. Kristi Jacques, a music artist always knew she’ll be known through her music. As an ambitious music artist, Kristi continues to yearn for excellence and climb up the ladder of success with her insightful and solicitous tracks.
Currently based out of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kristi was raised in Charleston, and her background included heavy involvement in the local music scene, along with guitar lessons, singing, helping run a music store, and working for an entertainment newspaper.
Kristi defies every orthodox norm there is to create music and pursue dreams. While music has always been at the core of her life goals, she recorded and released her first album at the age of 52, but with the enthusiasm of a young artist ready to take over the world with her charm and assiduous creativity.
About her calling to be a musician, she says, “To be completely honest, I didn’t really have a music career. It was a huge part of my life in the 90s but not a career. Since I started over in 2020/21, I have relearned the guitar (still a work in progress) and have written close to 30 songs, recorded the songs with some amazing musicians and producers, and released my first album with a second one coming soon. I even have another EP coming out in the summer. When I started back, I thought of music as a hobby. Once that door had been opened, it is all I want to do now. I love every minute of it.”
Her story inspires people to never give up on their dreams and always see life as an open field to try new things and expand their horizons. While music has always been an important part of her life, at age 52, she decided to follow her heart and embark on this journey as a music artist.
Her holy grail is the quote from the song All Ends Well by Alter Bridge. “If you believe in nothing else, just keep believing in yourself.”
This charismatic woman believes that when people have confidence in themselves, they have the potential to grow at any pace, regardless or age! Everyone achieves goals at a different pace, humans are built differently, and their aspirations vary for each individual.
It’s ok if someone doesn’t do it all young, life is all yours to go for a spin, change careers, and become a totally different version. Mistakes are going to happen. You must be willing and able to keep going if you play or sing a wrong note or chord. It’s going to happen. Just pretend like you meant to do it and keep moving forward.
