A4AG, a new label from Birmingham, Alabama, is bringing glory back to the artists by helping them reach more audiences and achieve visibility.

Music is an art that needs to be explored in depth. Labels have the responsibility of discovering raw talent from nooks and corners of the world, and the A4AG Label by Bernardo Targett, known in the music industry as ‘Bird’, is the one bringing forth the talent of Birmingham to the world. Bird, also known by producer handle (db), took the world by storm in early 2000 with his band Bird3 (Greg Coates(LA), and Michael Miley(Rival Sons) sending almost every major record label into a frenzy to sign them.

After major tours, landing film and tv spots such as Van Wilder, Bird has worked with the biggest in the biz like Randy Jackson(American Idol), Gardner Cole(Madonna), Richard Dashut(Fleetwood Mac), etc., just to name a few. He knows the music industry inside out and is on a mission to find and help guide the best undiscovered talent Birmingham has to offer.

With his label, Bird aims to write and produce Bangers in genres like hip-hop, country, pop, and electronic. His brand is all about bringing raw and fresh talent forward and empowering young and creative minds. Birmingham is a place where it’s tough finding an outlet to bring more visibility to new artists, and A4AG is the revolutionary label that has already begun the movement of discovery there.

Bird explains his selfless goal through his label, “I have had a very long career in music and have accumulated hundreds of artists and industry contacts along with my partner, Tim Heile.  The goal for these artists is to get advice from, collaborate with, and share their music with seasoned and successful industry leaders.  Direct plug and play.” He goes on to say, “I don’t ask these kids for money up front because they usually don’t have any. I help write with them and produce a few songs for them so they can have the ammunition to start building their brand.”

After the launch of A4AG in early 2023, one song, in particular, is already blowing up. It’s called “Drunk In Paradise” from the country band Brandon Rivers Jr. (BRJ) @brandonriversjr.

This is a summer smash hit reminiscent of Zac Brown Band that transports you directly to Panama City Beach during Spring Break. This song is destined to be summer’s go to song in 2023, and is the first of many from BRJ.  With this hit, the band will surely get more visibility on their coming releases and bring a focus back to Birmingham’s incredible artists.

Just like BRJ, A4AG has multiple talented artists on its roster. This includes rap artists like J$, K LIL, and (db). They also have an incredible female Pop artist, ‘A+’,  ‘Pretty Pigeons’, and will be releasing a third Bird3 album in 2024. The only goal of A4AG is to help struggling artists. They will guide, produce, and write songs with these artists from Birmingham and make sure they shine out of the box while exploring their abilities.

The process of creating music is phenomenal, from the inception to release, it’s a bliss to see words turn into a melody. Real talent is everywhere, they just need their angel to come and rescue them from a bind and help them explore the creativity of their minds.

A4AG will soon sign more and more Birmingham-based artists, and you’ll get to listen to super sick music from them. To know more, visit here.
